Kare Mobile Uses Dentrix Ascend to Bring State-of-the-Art Dentistry Directly to Patients

Kare Mobile works to revolutionize dental care by bringing state-of-the- art treatments directly to their patients, especially those in areas where oral care is underrepresented and there's a heavy Medicaid population. They knew they'd need cloud-based software to manage their new model but were also looking for a solution that supported their entire range of services.

Kwane Watson, CEO of Kare Mobile, and his team looked at the cloud- based dental solutions available on the market, and found Dentrix Ascend met their needs the most. Dentrix Ascend makes it easy to provide comprehensive services to patients, while other platforms were only focused on hygiene. They also liked that they'd be able to submit claims directly, handle more complex treatment planning, and manage their LLCs across multiple states. Even transitioning their few brick-and- mortar practices to Dentrix Ascend has been seamless.

Smoother workflows with API Integration
Henry Schein One's API integration was a big part of why Kare chose Dentrix Ascend. Kare has its own scheduling solution, DentaFlo, that does their scheduling without human intervention, saving the DSO time and money by eliminating the need for a human element to book appointments. It's thanks to Henry Schein One's API that they were able to integrate it seamlessly into their Dentrix Ascend workflow.
Streamlined data management and reporting
Power Reporting makes it easy for the Kare team to filter treatment plans and quantify the value of a day from a treatment-planning standpoint. Team members are able to run reports, save them, and use filters to pull new reports, while built-in templates help speed up operations throughout the business. Kare also uses audit logs to hold staff accountable from a business standpoint.
Al creates a better patient experience
Kare uses Detect Al, powered by VideaHealth, to provide patients with a better understanding of what's being shown on the x-rays, further engaging them in discussions about their oral health. "When describing it to patients, I show them how Al validates my diagnosis," said Watson. "Someone not familiar with dental or radiographs can easily see where there are problems."
They also use Dentrix Voice, powered by Bola Al, to reduce time spent charting with voice-recognition note dictation. Even with the number of daily appointments, clinical teams are still able to complete charts effectively and efficiently.
Treatment planning simplified
For the staff working with patients daily, one of their favorite features is the Treatment Planner. "The treatment planning function combined with Al is beneficial because of the sequencing and the ability for us to utilize the feature to the fullest capability," said Watson. "It allows us to better quantify our time and make sure that our providers are given services that they feel comfortable performing with an appropriate amount of time."
