Floss Time specializes in delivering on-site dental care and wellness benefits at workplaces throughout Massachusetts, transforming any office space into a full-scale pop-up dental studio for employees. Challenge


While working at Floss Time's sister practice, the organization's founders began to realize that mobile dentistry was an increasing need in the market. The traditional dental appointment model frustrated many patients, especially those juggling work and personal schedules who had to use PTO or battle rush hour to make evening appointments.

The founders soon discovered that setting up a mobile dentistry practice was easier said than done, with an extremely high barrier of entry to gain a mobile dental license and major challenges including how to best implement sterilization and disinfection processes that keep patients safe. Beyond that, though, the team at Floss Time knew they needed a software solution that could deliver in four crucial areas:

The team at Floss Time was able to do all their onboarding and training using Dentrix Ascend's resource center. When they do have a question, though? They're able to pick up the phone and speak to someone within minutes who can solve their issues.

Seamless integration with their sister practice


Floss Time completes preventative care on site, but what happens when a patient needs more extensive work done? Patients requiring in-person care are referred to Floss Time's sister organization within the city, with patient information and files transferred effortlessly through Dentrix Ascend. By doing this, the practice keeps those patients in their network, ensures they're receiving the best care possible, and increases patient count for both practices.
