Passing Fad or New Reality: Unveiling the True Impact of AI in Dentistry
The emergence of AI has brought many promises to dentistry, including one to support time-strapped dentists and hygienists in their diagnoses and treatment planning, helping them to identify diseases earlier while offering a clinical decision support tool to the patient chairside. Multi-location groups are especially interested in the opportunity for maximized clinical consistency across their locations and dentists. At the same time, though, AI can often be overhyped.

In order to comprehensively answer this question, VideaHealth studied 100 dental practices across the United States over a nine-month span and analyzed data from 470,831 unique patients. This study is the first large benchmark study of AI in dentistry.
